Education
We offer an international education with focus on the systemic approach in international competence. Our programs have a strong international orientation and many cross-cultural components. All modules will ensure a balanced mix of theoretical base, practical relevance and application, as well as personal development.
Theoretical base
The theoretical base of the programs is the Systemic Approach, which offers a holistic view to finding alternative solutions while reducing complexity. It integrates a wide range of approaches, models and insights from psychology, cybernetics, organizational theory and management theory. The systemic perspective is the guiding principle. A further core benefit is that the program is held completely in English, enabling you to apply your learning in your international work.
The theoretical content will focus on
- Essence of the systemic or open systems approach
- Systemic Competence in centralized and de-centralized organizations
- Dealing with complexity and diversity
- Leadership and transition coaching
- Teambuilding and leading teams (virtual and remote teams, matrix-management)
- Change management and implementing lasting and sustainable changes
- International project management and roll-out
- Influence, communication and trust oriented cooperation
- Personality and managing self

Practical skills
Knowing theoretical models is one thing; applying them is another. At ISC-i, we place a strong emphasis on the practical application of theories and models. We do not only share experiences and knowledge among participants and trainers – we also practice their application. This is done in a unique way, using real-life cases. You will be asked to contribute issues and cases that you face in your own work. Through structured peer group counseling and by consulting your fellow participants, you will put theory into practice, allowing you to find alternative solutions.
Personal development
During the program, you will have plenty of opportunities to develop your personal skills. First of all, you will be able to get unique insights into your own self through a multitude of personal feedback and mirroring sessions. As you will be working in a small group in a culture of respect and openness, the feedback that you will be getting from your fellow participants will be highly valuable. You will be able to identify your strengths, your areas for growth and your blind spots. You will also learn how to give feedback to others in a respectful and constructive way. As a result, you will be able to better define your roles and responsibilities and to better manage yourself in a highly complex (international) environment. You will enhance your ability to balance conflicting objectives, to handle conflicts and to find more options for your actions.
After each module, you will evaluate and assess your learning, your professional and personal development in written reports.

Model example
As a top provider of international systemic training programs, we are committed to supporting our participants in every aspect of their personal and professional lives. Using the 3-world-model is one example:

People move through life in differing realities and perform different tasks in different contexts. In this model, we distinguish between 3 “worlds” in which we are active and play roles:
The professional world
Guided by values, standards, logic marked by our formal education years, amended and cemented in training and development. All together, these form our professional identity.
The private world
We think, feel and act as a private person. We play roles as lovers, parents, sons, daughters, etc. Our roles, which we take from partnerships, family, gender views, etc. have a significant impact and serve as our guidelines.
The organizational world
We think, feel and act in our organizational roles, be it as board member, department head, assistant, union member, etc. We are guided by values, standards and experience, which are implicit and explicit to the culture of the organization, renewed and stabilized in recurring rituals. All together they form our organizational identity.
Our one-year program "International leader" focuses in all its modules on the 3 dimensions of learning to enhance self awareness for every participant and improve the individual learning process as a balancing of needs.
